Illinois Travel Baseball (ITB-Marucci) is a year-round, player-development–first program serving youth through high-school athletes in the Chicagoland area. Backed by partnerships with Marucci and CURVE Sports, ITB blends professional coaching, proven training methods, and access to state-of-the-art indoor facilities to help players grow on and off the field. We’re more than a collection of teams—we’re a long-term development pathway. From skill work and strength training to competitive league play and tournaments (including opportunities like the Marucci World Series), ITB supports players at every stage of their baseball journey.

ITB’s roots trace back to the Illinois Indians and Illinois Dodgers, independent travel programs that established a strong development culture for well over a decade. Those foundations, combined later with the Athletic Barn and new strategic partnerships, paved the way for the unified ITB-Marucci era. Through consistent investment in coaching, facilities, and recruiting support, the organization evolved from a local club into a comprehensive development program with hundreds of alumni advancing to college and professional baseball.
Our Staff
ITB’s staff is built around experienced baseball professionals who emphasize fundamentals, continuous evaluation, and individualized plans. Coaches structure training in phases—assessment, instruction, repetition, and reevaluation—so each athlete stays on a clear path of measurable improvement. Beyond on-field instruction, staff provide college-recruiting guidance, strength and conditioning oversight, and player-development resources through trusted partners. The mission is to teach the game the right way while preparing athletes for the next level—whether that’s high school, college, or pro opportunities.
